Trunk or Treat!

Tiana wanted to be a "Cowboy Monkey" for Halloween. If you ask her what that is she'll give a look like Duh, and say, "You know, a monkey dressed up like a cowboy!" I tried to tell her that everyone was probably going to be a cowboy monkey this year, but she still wanted to be one! She drew a picture and designed how she wanted to look. My favorite part was when she wanted to put bananas in the gun holder. The vine is her rope. She makes me laugh - Tons!

Larisa was a skeleton again this year! I think she really liked the make-up job Chris did last year and wanted it again! She really enjoyed that her sister was freaked out by it!

Larisa with one of her best friends!

On Saturday we went to our church for a trunk or treat. It was a lot of fun. They had games inside and my kids liked the spook alley! Then, we all went outside for some trunk or treating.

The missionaries cracked me up because they can't do a lot to dress up, but they participated by wearing lovely 1970's leisure suits. The picture doesn't do it justice!

Sleepover!

I don't really like sleepovers - and it is usually a big NO, but I told Tiana she could have one if the parents were out of town and they needed to stay with us! Tiana finally had that opportunity with one of her favorite friends. We went to go and see High School Musical 3. ( I liked it!) They had a lot of time in the morning to play. They were working on a surprise in Tia's room and then called us in to unveil their secret room.

What's under the blankets?

Two Rooms! Jess had the Hawaiian room. Tiana had the cabin room. Tia hung animals all over the ceiling, because - "That's what they do - hunt things and stuff them." Cabin Room

I am always amazed at how creative children are and the fun things that they can come up with!

Fun with Fall!

I've had a lot of fun decorating for fall this year! I am just loving all of the beautiful colors and I want to bring them inside! I've had fun doing it as cheap as I possibly can, and thought I'd show you a few.

Everything was bought used, dollar store or huge clearance - a couple of things were gifts!

Rake, jump, crunch leaves!!

The girls had a fun time raking leaves and jumping into them! They like to be buried and then say, "Monster, Monster come alive - come alive be the count of 5! 1.2.3.4.5"
One day someone asked me if my girls were best friends or worst enemies - I answered yes, because it can be either depending on the day! This weekend was one of those that you want to hold on to, because they were best friends all weekend - happy happy!

Pick up the leaves
Throw them in the air!
Watch them fall!

Then they changed the game to . . .

Pick up the leaves -
throw them in the air -

then hug my sister!!

It was so much fun to watch them do this several times! Freeze the moment in my mind forever!

Train Ride!

At the turkey farm they also had this fun train ride. Tiana's friend decided not to go at the last minute, but we all went and had a great time. It was a lot of fun going through the forest again and feeling the cool fall air. We were really enjoying it and I was thinking this needs to be a yearly tradition when - snap - scream!!!! One cart disconnected, and off fell - - yes, you guessed it - Tiana! It scared us all, but Tiana didn't fall far and only had a small bruise. She snuggled back with me and said that she would go on it next year!

Pumpkin Patch

Tiana was really excited to find another double decker pumpkin! She carved 2 faces in one like this a couple of years ago and was so happy to find another one like it!

We had fun finding our pumpkins in the pumpkin patch! It so fun to look for just the perfect one!

Corn Maze

Corn Maze Cutie!
This was a fairly small maze, but perfect for our family. We had a lot of fun walking through!

Chris had fun pulling corn off of cobs that had fallen on the ground and throwing them at our precious little daughters. I loved the joyful look he had when he was able to get a reaction from the girls. The girls started in on the war and I had fun watching!
Chris rubbing seeds on Tiana's back! Too bad he's not finding any pleasure in bugging her!
Tiana knows how to get him back!

Hay Ride

We went on a fun hay ride at the turkey farm. They took us through a haunted forest and dropped us off at the corn maze. It was a pretty ride through all of the fall colors!

Turkey!

This weekend we had a fun time going to a turkey farm! They were having a special weekend with all kinds of activities. It is a fun place and they serve Thanksgiving dinner all year!

Loving Fall!!

On the road in our front yard!
It seems like every year I get excited for fall, but get even more excited that Christmas is just around the corner! This year I am enjoying fall so much that I don't even want to think about it ending! I love all the colors and feel like we live in the most beautiful state. I love the smell of the air, the leaves, the temperature and just about everything else about fall (Okay, I haven't started raking yet!). I am so thankful for the beautiful world that Heavenly Father created for us!

Getting old!!

Tiana is holding the card that she made me!

Larisa worked hard to make my birthday special - She is a sweetie pie!!

Chris grilled dinner - Larisa made the cake and veggies- Tiana made the potatoes and we had a lovely dinner! I heard the girls getting things ready and they called me in for presents. I heard Tiana yell that she needed to use the restroom and to go ahead and open her present with out her. So I obeyed and when I opened the present - out popped Tiana. She said that she was giving me Tiana for my birthday! I loved it! She had planned it for a couple of days. It made me feel loved. What a cutie.

Church Sale - SCORE!!

My cute friend Kasey let us know about a church sale, and I happened to be going in that direction for my church calling - so I decided to stop by! I looked around for awhile - I found a lot of things that I though would be cute - but decided I didn't really need them. I looked under a table and I saw these pretty dishes. I always thought that white china would be fun so I could decorate the table to match the holiday instead of my dishes. Well, it was a service for 8, and had all the pieces - including bowls, gravy boat and things like that! It was $25 and I wasn't sure if I wanted them bad enough to spend that much money - I knew I didn't need them. Well I though, I'll offer them $20, and if they accept, I'll buy them for Chris to give me for my birthday. They wouldn't take $20, but by then I decided I wanted them bad enough and paid the $25. Well I came home and looked them up on the Internet to see how much they were worth - are you sitting down? They were being sold for $550!!! I was pretty pleased with my investment. I'll keep them still, but now if I break a dish I can just say, "I am sure glad I only paid $25"!! I love a good bargain!!

London Grill

We went to a little restaurant that I've always wanted to try! It looked so quaint! It had a fun atmosphere and the food was yummy -but I think over priced for what they gave you! I thought how much my sister would love it since she lived in England for a few years! We had to give her a call on the telly!!
